点评：Komodo - Venturo Trip in instagram and Facebook. This agent, Brian, sent me the catalog for a 3D2N open boat trip to Komodo. Before making the payment, we carefully checked the cancellation policy, which clearly stated that cancellations made 61+ days before the trip were eligible for a refund.
However, after we paid the deposit, Brian became unresponsive and refused to refund our money.
What makes this even more concerning is that the terms and conditions stated that only a 30% deposit was required, but Brian asked us to pay 50% instead. We trusted him because he was polite and responded quickly during the booking process.
After we transferred the money via Wise, he repeatedly delayed providing our booking confirmation and kept giving excuses. His responses became slower and slower, which made us feel suspicious. Two weeks after the payment, we decided to cancel the trip and requested a refund according to the cancellation policy.
At that point, Brian stopped responding. Later, he claimed that there was a “no refund” policy, supposedly implemented in 2026. This is completely unreasonable, as the cancellation policy shown to us at the time of booking clearly stated otherwise.
This kind of behavior feels dishonest and damages the reputation of Komodo tour operators. I strongly recommend booking directly with the boat owner rather than through agents like this, even if they appear trustworthy or have more than 10,000 followers on Instagram.
