Excellent PADI diving centre
Divinguru Nilaveli的点评
点评：Completed 10 fun dives plus the PADI AWARE – Dive Against Debris course over 5 days at Divinguru Nilaveli. The centre and facilities are excellent: changing rooms, equipment storage (they looked after my gear for the duration of my stay), briefing areas, rinse stations, dive boats, and the overall organisation were all very well run.
A special thank you to Rayne and Charlotte, who guided all of my fun dives, Fabio for the debris course, and Ellie, who was always smiling, incredibly helpful, and excellent with WhatsApp communication even before arrival. My thanks extend to the entire team.
The diving operation felt very safe and professional throughout, both in terms of Divinguru’s procedures and the dive sites themselves. The diving is well suited to a wide range of certification and experience levels.
This is not a destination for pristine coral reefs, very deep dives, or large pelagic action — most sites were around 15–18 metres in depth — but there is still plenty of marine life. Highlights included numerous nudibranchs (especially at my favourite site, Welluore Rock), moray eels, barracuda (including one of the largest I’ve ever seen, around 1–1.5m), cuttlefish, lionfish, scorpionfish, and stonefish. We also occasionally saw turtles, stingrays, and lobsters.
Visibility varied depending on wind and current, ranging from around 7.5–20m. Currents were generally light, occasionally moderate, and the team adjusted dive sites appropriately based on diver experience and conditions.
The centre also serves great on-site food and provides convenient tuk-tuk pickup and drop-off from local accommodation.
Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience — I’ll definitely be back.
