特洛伊考古遗址的点评
点评：Just a pile of mish mash. Nine different cities were built on this spot. There are lots of ruins but little to see. It will probably stay that way for a long time because of the politics involved in initiating a dig.
It didn’t help that our guide was an opinionated jerk. We got tired of his repeated comments about how much the people with money ruin everything. Like them or not, the people with wealth create things. It’s been that way forever. The comments were so out of place when trying to help people understand what happened here instead of the underlying history.
And to be honest, no one is really sure about the history or daily life here and it would have been better if he focused on history rather than his opinions.
Yes the people who excavated the site took advantage of their position to send relics to their homelands; however without their efforts, this place would be still lost to antiquity.
Having been to many other excavations, this place is not one that is currently worth your time.
