Surprise Birthday Harris Hawk Experience

点评：As part of my surprise birthday weekend, my partner booked an experience at the Battlefield Bird of Prey Centre, and it was genuinely incredible.
We were greeted warmly by Lisa, who walked us out to the fields where we met Steve, who led the experience. We spent the afternoon walking with two Harris Hawks, Carl and Ezra, and Steve gave us food so the birds could fly down and land on our arms. He shared so much fascinating information about the birds and the equipment used to track them, and he was great company — friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to chat with.
After the walk, we were able to wander around and see the other birds, and we were even lucky enough to watch Steve train what I believe was a peregrine falcon. Both Lisa and Steve were fantastic throughout — welcoming, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do.
One small tip: Wear wellies or walking boots! It was quite muddy on the day we visited, and my partner even got his trainer stuck in the mud, which gave us a good laugh.
We had an amazing time and would recommend this experience to absolutely anyone. Huge thanks to Steve and Lisa for making it so special.
