点评:This place is so good that part of me wants to gatekeep. But I also can't resist writing a review. While Grutas Tolantongo right across the little pedestrian bridge is spectacular in its own right, with plenty of amenities and views to die for, La Gloria is an entirely different kind of experience, a gem literally hidden in plain sight.
Grutas Tolantongo itself is (thankfully) almost unknown outside of Mexico (where it is very known at this point). But probably 95% of the people who go to Grutas Tolantongo, don't bother to cross over that bridge to La Gloria. Shhh! Their loss!
On the other side, it's much more natural, more shaded, more of a "jungle" environment, the pools are more rustic and every bit as beautiful in their own way. Even the river that serves as the boundary between the two, in the section that's accessible from La Gloria, feels more private and secluded (not to mention shaded). There are far less amenities, though there is a hotel and tent camping available. And far fewer people. You can even find your own hot waterfall and your own private cenote! It feels like such an exclusive experience.
