Tundra Wilderness Tour的点评
点评：Our second day tour of Denali National Park & Preserve started just after Noon & included a little snack pack to ward off hunger! The driver/guide Michael was a good guy, a fount of knowledge and in his 13th season in Denali which he definitely loves he made the tour an enjoyable time. Sadly, the allocation of morning or afternoon tours was out of our hands, and it was luck of the draw that both our tours were afternoon! The morning tours saw much more wildlife (Bears & Cubs etc.) and gladly informed us of same. After the landslide at Mile 44.5 in 2021 closed the roadway, you can only travel to Mile 43 till the repairs are complete, supposedly next year? But we had heaps of stops along the way where we saw Ptarmigan birds, Moose, Caribou, Arctic Ground Squirrels and a Golden Eagle but not a teddy bear to be seen or wolf! The highlight was we got to see Mt. McKinley/Denali on several occasions as most visitors to the park don't get too for various reasons, mainly visibility due to cloud & weather near the peak. It's a long way from where you enter the park! As I noted on the previous day's tour we got to Denali NP & P a bit too early in the season and I would recommend late June or early July if you're planning a visit! But we really enjoyed the TWR and Michael did his best to showcase this beautiful part of the world!
