Very interesting historical place, but May-2025 on works
Maternité Suisse d'Elne的点评
点评：Maternité Suisse d'Elne was a hospital, where a lot of women were helped as refugees during the Spanish Civil War. It is located in Elne, a small town in the South of France known in Catalonia for being the motherhood of a lot of refugees. Really, it is a very interesting place to visit, if you are interested in 20th Century history. Here you can learn about the history of the place and about the life of the refugees. Unfortunately, when we visited the building, in May-2025, it was very degraded and the inner museum was closed due to works of restoration. In fact, you can only see a little exposition outside and the main building from the garden. I hope it was very well restored and converted into a very interesting museum.
