点评：Grandparents and granddaughters visited the Gala theatre for a showing of Jack and the Beanstalk. Following one of our last trips to Durham where we couldn’t find the nearest multi storey Walkergate this time we found it and it’s ideal for the Gala, one lift is all it takes it
The theatre was dressed for Christmas and was full. Staff were as good as we remember and seats better than older theatres where they tend to be narrower.
The show itself was brilliantly done with a small cast getting the audience involved at every opportunity. Some jokes and innuendos the kids didn’t get, lots of mentions of north east towns in jest. Music, lighting, special effects, dance routines and a booming giant. The show lasted over 2hrs 10mins including a 20minute break.
Overall a thoroughly good nights entertainment that will be very popular with visitors.
