Fifteen years ago, we spotted a Pure Life Surf School van in the Publix parking lot. The very next day, we signed up our oldest son, who was just 8 years old. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions we ever made.
Every summer, he learned so much more than how to surf. LJ and his incredible team taught him ocean awareness, water safety, perseverance, confidence, and a genuine love and respect for the beach. Eight years later, our youngest followed in his brother’s footsteps and had the same amazing experience.
Although our youngest’s last summer at camp was in 2024 when he was 13, the impact Pure Life Surf School has had on our family continues today. Our boys may not be expert surfers, but they still spend countless hours in the ocean every summer, confident, capable, and happiest when they’re on the water.
As parents, it’s hard to put into words how grateful we are to LJ and his staff. Thank you for investing in our boys, keeping them safe, encouraging them, and helping create some of our family’s favorite summer memories. The skills, confidence, and love for the ocean you helped instill will stay with them for a lifetime.
