Avoid This Place Unless You Want Your Belongings Stolen

点评：Visited Jharipani Waterfall today and it turned into a complete nightmare. We parked our scooty there, and when we came back, the dikki lock had been broken and my bag was stolen. The bag contained valuables worth around ₹40,000–45,000.
We immediately rushed to the police station and filed an FIR. Shockingly, after talking to locals and observing the situation, we found out that this is not the first incident here. Apparently, 2–4 FIRs have already been filed earlier for similar theft cases, yet there is still no proper security, no monitoring, and no serious action being taken. Tourists are literally left helpless.
When we returned to the spot hoping to recover the bag, we noticed a suspicious man standing near the parking area continuously staring at us. After watching him carefully from a distance, I saw him attempting to target another scooty, waiting for the area to get empty. He then disappeared into the bushes uphill. Moments later, I saw the same man running away with my bag. I chased him, but he escaped.
This place feels extremely unsafe and poorly managed. The parking area is a free target zone for thieves. What’s worse is that the nearby cafés and local setup around the area felt very suspicious, almost like everyone knows what’s happening but nobody wants to stop it.
If authorities already know multiple FIRs have been filed and still no action is taken, then clearly tourist safety is not a priority here. Please stay extremely careful if you visit. Avoid carrying valuables, avoid parking unattended vehicles, and honestly, avoid this place altogether if possible. Worst experience ever.
