南京路的点评
点评：It took approximately 30 mins drive from Airport to Nanjing Road. It is mainly a tourist site with endless shopping from Luxury Brands (like Apple, Rolex) to cheap souvenirs, electronics, and silk, it’s a retail heaven.
Strolling along the 6 km long pedestrian street, there are approx. 700 shops on both sides. We notice the stores are with ultramodern furnishings, mostly super crowded. We are overwhelmed to find our childhood favourite Rabbit Candy Shop which we helped ourselves to buy some back home.
Giant screens on buildings all lit up to showcase advertisements, and alternating photos, changing texts & colors. Lots of eating outlets to have some food, as well as hotels from 3-5 stars and the area is well monitored by mobile police station at every corners.Trains are available for those who prefer to take a slow browsing through this street Mall.
On top of being super safe, this tourist site is complete with shopping outlets, great restaurants, great sight, indeed a photography haven too. There's a metro station within the area too, thus I must say Nanjing Road Walking street is a must see destination if you ever been in Shanghai.
