Not one whale shark, but two!
大阪水族馆的点评
点评：First off, this is a timed-entry ticket….so plan accordingly. There is a little shopping mall right next door, that has several shops and food, so you can kill time there. Like many other aquariums, the entry ticket can be combined with other activities (bay cruises, feedings, etc). I thought the prices were quite reasonable compared to stuff in the US. Also like other aquariums, you are transported to the top and work your way down. We were there on a Sunday, so the child quotient was high. Lots of “standard” displays of local ocean fauna. There were displayed for dolphins, penguins (several types!), seals, et al. The main attraction is the center tank, which you slowly work your way around and down. In this tank you will see a variety of larger species (including my favorite, the giant sunfish), but the main draw here is a pair of whale sharks. I have never seen a whale shark in captivity before, and I have visited a lot of aquariums around the world. Not surprisingly, all of the windows for this tank are crowded, and everyone has to get their 5 minute video of the unique fish. It was pretty cool, not only due to the whale sharks, but all the other things in the tank. Total time is 1-2 hours and, as I mentioned earlier, there is a mall next door where you can grab some eats later. Being a weekend, there were some performers busking on the plaza for added entertainment. Recommended
