点评：We are visiting from the US, and came to the butterfly sanctuary a few days ago. It has been one of the highlights of our vacation! What an amazing place for someone like myself, who is interested in biology. We were the only visitors at the time. It is such a beautiful location, with many plants in a gorgeous garden. We were touring around and just about to leave when we were lucky enough that Ma'am Humaida A. Jumalon came home and we were able to visit with her for quite a while. What an absolute treasure! Cebu really should support this important institution. We purchased both books, the art book and the butterfly field guide, and made a donation in the collection box where the artworks are kept air-conditioned. I collect local biology field guides in the US, but it's so hard to find field guides for the Philippines, so I am eternally gratefull for her contributions. I encourage you all to go visit the sanctuary and see the incredible collection of butterfly specimens and the amazing art works made from damaged butterfly wings and please make a donation to support their work. The art work really surprised me, it's amazing to think of how much tedious work he must have done to create such beatiful works of art with no fan or A/C which would have blown the delicate butterfly wings away while he worked.
