Lovely venue, but bar service needs improvement

点评：We came to Perth Concert Hall to watch a boxing show and, as a venue, it was great. However, unfortunately the experience was let down by the bar arrangements.
On arrival, the bar area was extremely busy, with three lanes/queues. We decided to queue for drinks before going to our seats, but the queue was very poorly managed and we ended up waiting for over 30 minutes.
Sadly, because of this queue, we ended up missing some of the boxing bouts we had actually paid to come and watch. At £65 per ticket, this was really disappointing and not what you expect when attending an event at that price.
We decided to order extra drinks so we wouldn’t have to stand in the queue again, but in the end we only had two drinks as we simply didn’t want to risk missing even more of the show.
On the positive side, the staff were very friendly, and the security staff were doing their best to control what had become a very frustrated and irate queue.
The venue itself is great, but the bar service and queue management definitely need to be improved for future events. It was disappointing to spend so much on tickets and then miss part of the event because of the time spent waiting for drinks.
