点评：Visiting Golconda Fort was a memorable and emotionally rich experience. Today, the site was lively and vibrant, filled with groups of school children, which gave the place a warm and energetic atmosphere rather than a quiet, museum-like feel.
The entrance fee for foreigners was INR 300, which felt reasonable for a historical site of this scale. We also met a local tour guide who was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. He has been working at Golconda Fort for 45 years, and his passion and deep connection to the place truly brought the history to life. The guiding fee was INR 1,500, and it was absolutely worth it for the insights and stories he shared.
Due to time constraints, we didn’t climb all the way to the top. The fort requires around 500 steps up and another 500 down, and since the site closes at 5:30 PM and we arrived around 3 PM, we didn’t want to rush or risk not making it back in time. Still, even without reaching the summit, walking through the fort and listening to its stories was deeply enjoyable.
Overall, the experience felt authentic, human, and meaningful. Golconda Fort is not just a historical monument—it feels alive, especially when explored with someone who has dedicated a lifetime to preserving its stories.
