点评:We visited DisneySea on Christmas Eve and had a genuinely fun, festive day out. It was amusing to see how many people were delighted by our Father Christmas hats — lots of warm smiles and quiet chuckles throughout the day.
Christmas in Japan (even at Disneyland) feels less like a traditional cultural holiday and more like a cheerful, merch-driven event. The deeper “seasonal soul” you might expect isn’t really the focus, but Japanese guests seem to embrace the occasion with enthusiasm — especially when it comes to collecting limited-edition festive merchandise. It gives the park a different but charming twist.
We leaned into the festive spirit and had a great time. A few highlights stood out: a brilliant little pop-up brass band, and the calm, wood-panelled retreat of the Teddy Roosevelt Lounge — the perfect escape from the crowds.
Queues, however, can be horrendous at Christmas and do take the shine off at times. It’s worth going in with patience and realistic expectations.
Even so, part of why we visit resorts like this is to be comfortably childlike again, even if only for a day or two. DisneySea makes that easy, and Christmas adds a fun, slightly whimsical twist to it all.
