点评：Although we have long sponsored Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, today was our first visit to the Wolseley Centre. The site is beautiful and diverse, with a wide variety of areas to enjoy. We had a delicious lunch at the Kingfisher Cafe before walking around the lake and enjoying the wide diversity of plants and wildlife. There is a raised platform around what is normally the flood plain. Due to the extended heatwave, the flood plain is currently dry, but we enjoyed the peace and tranquility, interrupted only by the calls of geese and mallards. We were also blessed with the sight of a rare bumblebee hawk-moth visiting the large Buddleia near the cafe. The Centre is free to visit and highly recommended. We will certainly become regulars, and especially look forward to visiting the flood plains when 'normal' weather returns.
