点评:Went on our own on the Hop-On/Hop-Off Bus from Haugesund. While we knew that the nearby Viking Village attraction was not yet open for the summer season and that St. Olav's Church is only open for inside viewing by prior arrangement through a guided tour (a private funeral was taking place on our visit but we did wander through the cemetery grounds and took outside pictures of the church and adjacent archeological diggings), we placed most of our hopes on the Nordvegen History Centre. The museum is housed in an impressive underground building but the audiovisual/interactive exhibits are kept in deep darkness with hard to locate exhibit number signs for the audio English guide and with a confusing exhibit routing. We were expecting so much more, but we did walk away after all satisfied with an appreciation of the wind-swept historical environs.
