点评:We took a day trip to see Inuyama Castle since it was just one of five original ones left in Japan.
Both the Inuyama and Meitetsu lines were the recommended lines to reach here.
We got off at Inuyama Station in order to walk through the old town to check out some of the shops, restaurants, temples and museums before ending at the castle. This station was much preferred versus Inuyamayuen Station which was closer to a main road and less scenic.
No shoes allowed inside, so I carried mine in a plastic bag they handed out. All stairs were steep but I went all the way to the top to take in the views (low railings but all four sides accessible) before heading down and seeing each floor. The conditions inside this castle was more representative instead of the larger reconstructions like Nagoya or Kokura castles.
Exhibits inside were limited and signs were bi-lingual so the main draw was seeing and walking through this designated national treasure.
