点评:We visited Nara during our family trip to Japan in October 2025, and it was definitely one of the most memorable days of the trip.
Of course, everyone knows Nara because of the deer, but being there is completely different from just seeing photos. They are everywhere — walking through the park, crossing the paths, coming up to people looking for food. For our six-year-old daughter, this was an amazing experience. Buying the little crackers and feeding the deer became one of those simple moments she was talking about long after we left.
But Nara is much more than just the deer. The parks, temples, old trees, traditional architecture and mountains in the background create a very peaceful atmosphere. You can spend hours just walking without feeling like you need to rush from one attraction to another.
After busy Tokyo and Kyoto, Nara felt different. Slower, quieter and somehow more connected to nature.
If you are travelling around Japan with your family, I would definitely make time for Nara. Give yourself a full day, wear comfortable shoes, and don’t try to plan every minute.
Sometimes the best memories from travelling come from simply walking around together and seeing what happens. Nara was exactly that kind of day for us.
