点评:Nara Park is a famous park in Japan that has free-roaming deer everywhere in the park. The closest major station is Kintetsu Nara Station, which is only about a 5-minute walk from the park. I reached the park at 10:50 AM, but it'll still be decently crowded. The main crowd is from the deer; There are so many on the sidewalks, even before you reach the inside of the park. There will also be vendors situated near the entrances/exits of the park. The cookies are packs of 10, for 200 Japanese Yen. How you feed the deer is you hold the cookie high in the air, wait for the deer to bow to you, bow back, and then feed the cookie to the deer. You can run out fast, though, so divide accordingly. For a calmer deer feeding experience, go deeper into the park. Deeper in, you can also find Nara National Park (Separately reviewed). There are also shops and restaurants scattered all through the park. You will definitely encounter some if you're making your way towards Todai Ji Temple, as we did. (Separately reviewed). Overall, I spent nearly 6 hours in the park, which included the Nara Museum, Todai-Ji, and finding food and shopping. Overall, this is definitely the main interaction of Nara, and a must-do. I took a day trip here from Osaka, and you can easily do the same from Osaka or Kyoto. Highly recommend.
