Splendid must see palace /fort

点评：I fell in love with this palace when I saw it on the HBO mini series "The Far Pavilions" in the 1980's and that was why I first came to India 12 years ago,( and keep coming back) The colours seem to be more vibrant, so I think there has been some careful restoration since my last visit. As always, the allocated time was, for me ,never long enough but I always come as part of a group tour. If you are traveling independently ,allow an abundance of time to soak up the history and atmosphere. Rajasthan has an amazing selection of forts and places .This one is very easy to access for touristic purposes ,quite a steep walk up from the road ,through the garden but there is a more circuitous route where the elephants and taxis can go.
The palace has an amazing diwan and an amazing mirrored portico area.

Elephants were part of traditional royal life in the heyday of this and the other palaces and forts. The tour companies I have travelled with dissuade their customers from riding them ,but they are there for those who wish.
The palace has an amazing diwan and an amazing mirrored portico area.

宫殿内有精美的议事厅以及装饰着镜子的门廊区。
这里的景色堪称壮观。
还有规整雅致的花园以及后宫区域。
