点评：We really enjoyed our visit to Kronborg Castle. It’s quite unlike other castles we’ve visited and there’s so much to explore that you get a real sense of the history of the place rather than simply walking through a series of grand rooms.
We paid extra for the Secret Tour and were very glad we did. It takes you into parts of the castle you might otherwise miss and gave us a much better sense of what everyday life within the castle would actually have been like. Definitely worth adding to the standard visit.
Don’t be put off by the tower either. The climb is broken up into stages, so it was much easier than we expected, and the views from the top are absolutely worth it. On a clear day you can see straight across the Øresund to Sweden, which really brings home just how strategically important the castle’s position was.
There’s plenty to see, some wonderfully atmospheric areas to explore, and even Holger Danske lurking down in the casemates! We found the whole place fascinating and came away very pleased that we’d made the trip to Helsingør.
