点评：We’ve been coming to Baily Winery for their amazing big red wines for years. This is one of the valley’s better wineries, but a few cautions:
- they moved from Rancho California Road to Pauba Road recently. There’s no notice signage about the move at the old location.
- a warning on library wine purchases. They can be great but also spoiled. Last year we bought a 2005 Meritage only to discover it oxidized and undrinkable when we got home. When I brought the cork back with me to this year’s visit and explained the issue, the reaction was a shrug and a “so what”. I steered clear of the library this year.
- staff has been really hit or miss over the years. We’ve had phenomenal visits to ones where the servers are brutally indifferent and aloof.
In summary, the wines are generally solid but visit Baily for the current tasting and heed the above cautions on the rest.
