Lined with towering façades carved directly into the cliffs, the street has a raw, almost unfinished feel in places, which makes it even more fascinating. Each tomb is slightly different, and walking past them you can’t help but imagine the families and communities that once lived and gathered here.
What we liked most about the Street of Facades was how relaxed it felt. There’s no single “must-see” viewpoint, so you can stroll at your own pace, stop for photos, or just take it all in without the pressure of crowds.
