佩特拉世界文化遗产的点评
点评：Most amazing place to visit. The scale and condition of Petra is beyond expectation. We walked the entire route from the Siq Canyon entrance through the main colonnade and up the 800 steps (not difficult) to the Monastery in late October and it was perfect. It’s a 20km, 25,000+ step day so you need to be in relatively good condition. One point to note is choose your official guide carefully and check before entering. Official guides are supposed to walk you in through the Siq Canyon, past the Treasury and to the Theatre as a minimum. Our appointed guide (Basil) was unfit, stopped frequently to rest or chat to other guides, gave minimal info and stopped at the Treasury, told us nothing and sent us to the viewpoint and then said his job was done. We had a fabulous day despite Basil and other guides could be seen with visitors as far as the basin, just check before where they take you avoid Basil!
One tip is that you can start at Little Petra. Walk through Little Petra, at the end is a short staircase that leads to a flat 6km picturesque walk to the Monastery. From here you walk down into Petra (avoiding the climb) and through Petra to the Treasury and out through the Siq Canyon. We don’t do this but it’s recommended for folks who don’t want to climb to the monastery or walk in / out via the same route.

有个小建议：可以从小佩特拉开始游览。先步行穿过小佩特拉。尽头处有一段短楼梯，顺着它可踏上一条平坦且风景如画的6公里长步行道，直达修道院。从那里可以下到佩特拉古城（省去了爬升的辛苦），穿过古城后便能抵达“宝库”，再经由锡克峡谷离开。我们并未选择这条路线，但对于那些不想爬山去修道院，也不想从原路往返的人来说，这条路线倒是值得推荐。
