点评：This is a superb museum, really well curated and with plenty of things to see and do. The apartment the Mendelssohn's lived in is really atmospheric, with the original floors and interesting exhibits. There is also a room where you can "conduct" a virtual orchestra, adjusting the tempo with your baton, which is great fun. I was also really pleased to see a permanent and extensive exhibition on Fanny Mendelssohn, who was so talented and yet couldn't hope to become a professional musician in her lifetime and was so overshadowed by the success of her brother. If you speak German, I highly recommend the Saturday tour at 10am, as it really adds to the experience and you learn so much. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and really brought the Mendelssohn family to life. But if you don't speak German, it's no problem. My husband had the English audio guide and said it was very good indeed.
