点评:Great trip, friendly staff, easy to access. We walked to the pick-up spot in Santa Clara, and they transported us up-river. Some tips (besides sun-block and a hat!): gloves (like bike gloves) can help prevent blisters (I got a small one - no big deal), bring zip lock bags for anything that doesn't fit in the provided water-proof container, bring an insulated bag with ice pack to keep your lunch cool, if you bring one (the food at the snack place looked pretty good), keep your phone/camera handy and secured (plastic case with a lanyard so you can tie it to your life jacket). You have 2 choices for trips - the longer one takes you back to Santa Clara and is worth the extra paddling (check the weather - it is a bit harder if it's windy). You can see the University of Coimbra near the end, and fewer people are on the rivers for those last 8 km. We were the only ones, and it was peaceful and beautiful. We're in our late 60s and reasonably good shape, so it was challenging but do-able.
