Tapiche Jungle Reserve的点评
点评：I spent a few months volunteering at Tapiche and it was the best adventure I could have asked for. The reserve is pristine and the wildlife is exactly as though humans had never existed. The river seems as if it is boiling with fish, and at night the jungle literally vibrates with noise. Every morning I would watch flocks of macaws flying over the river and super abundant pink river dolphins passing by. In my time here I saw so many beautiful animals, some of which I didn’t even know existed: otters, caimans, arapaima, white lipped peccary, giant anteater, ocelot, toucans, fer-de-lances, coatis, tyra, uakari monkeys, jaguar (on trail camera). With effort, the wildlife that u could see is among the best in the world.
But what makes this reserve truly special is the people. Aidan is like a walking search engine, there is few things he doesn’t know about the jungle. Segundo, Julio and doucgler work incredibly hard to protect the reserve, and are lovely guys with a great sense of humour. Fabiola is the kindest person you could meet, and also cooks great food.
If you are up for an adventure, and want to see nature at its wildest, I couldn’t recommend this place enough. It can be pretty brutal, with the heat and mosquitos, but if u can put up with that you will see the magic of the reserve.
But what makes this reserve truly special is the people. Aidan is like a walking search engine, there is few things he doesn’t know about the jungle.
