Yet another delightful visit to this stunning winery

点评：We’ve visited Yalumba several times over the years, and for our September 2026 Barossa trip we booked a wine tasting paired with a platter. As always, the estate impressed us with its beautiful gardens, immaculate lawns, and stunning historic stone buildings. The cellar door offers both indoor and outdoor seating, giving visitors plenty of choice. With a cool breeze (borderline cold wind) on the day we visited, we chose to sit inside near the fireplace, which made the experience even more inviting.
We were looked after by Steph, who delivered the four wines from the flight we had selected and presented a delicious platter. We enjoyed all the wines, and Steph returned throughout the tasting to chat about what we liked, what we didn’t, and to offer a few additional suggestions. Her knowledge, warmth, and genuine enthusiasm added so much to the experience.
Outside, two other visiting couples finished their tasting, purchased a bottle of The Signature (a great choice), and came inside to sit near the fire, enjoying their wine and chatting with us. The atmosphere felt relaxed, friendly, and very much shaped by the welcoming staff. Very much an experience rather than a simple tasting.
Yalumba continues to be one of our “must do’s” when we visit the Barossa. If you’re planning a visit, it’s worth looking ahead at their tours, platters, and tasting options to make the most of your time.
