Truly memorable and in keeping...
John Clare Cottage - Museum, Café, Gardens的点评
点评：This place far exceeded my expectations, as our English teacher in the 1970s said there was little to remember Clare by in the village, aside from his monument. I was "blown away" by the loveliness of the cottage itself, and the way it has so sensitively been adapted to tell a story of the poet's life, as well as providing creature comforts in the form of honest, nourishing soup, amongst other tasty items.
It was a truly memorable visit - even in winter the gardens were a source of comfort - it was so well tended that the blooms of summer could be imagined and a sense of freedom attained.
I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone interested in the poet, or who would like to know more - or indeed who simply wants to visit a lovely place!
