点评：The small Abbey Library of St. Gallen is astonishing. The medieval monastic library, now holds old manuscripts in Rococo's furniture. Of particular relevance is the exact replica of the cosmographical globe - Terrestrial and Celestial Globe made by Tilemann Stella in Germany. Alongside the book collection, the cabinets of curiosity showcases treasures from art to natural wonders, reflecting the Baroque era's fascination. Particularly nice is the cherub with brushes and palette which shows the patina from ageing and the other half is cleaned and restored.
It's an UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the ticket includes the Vaulted Cellar and the year long Exhibition Space - I visited the Monks in the Forest.
Be aware the floor is in wood and very delicate, so at the entrance you must wear slippers covering the shoes; which make walking in the space a little be difficult and not suitable for all.
