A Great Side Visit in Northern Arizona

点评：Just 30 miles from Page and adjacent to the Historic Navajo Bridge is Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. Please note you can see the Vermilion Cliffs from Horseshoe Bend, but the drive is longer than the actual distance. There you will find a beautiful red rock plateau that has simply risen from the valley flow. There is little to no vegetative life, rather these glowing rock formations that appear beautiful, yet different with every adjustment in sunlight.
We visited the national monument on a travel day from Grand Canyon to Page and we combined it with the Historic Navajo Bridge over the Colorado River at the beginning of Grand Canyon National Park and Lees Ferry where you can actually reach the river to touch it. It is perfectly located along with those other attractions and Wupatki NM to make a full and fun day of activities between GCNP and Page.
You are not coming to Arizona to visit Vermillion Cliffs. However, when you are here to see sights like the Grand Canyon, Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon, this is a good added visit. The cliffs themselves are beautiful and the way they change with the light is amazing. However, there are other sites here like multiple boulders suspended above the ground like a balanced rock. We had fun with pictures of the boulders and cliffs. This is a great addition to see when you are already here in Arizona for other attractions.
