点评：If one travels behind Chelmsford Prison and within Essex Police HQ is the Essex Police Museum.
The museum is generally open every Saturday from 10am - 4pm, although it is best to check their Facebook page before travelling.
Entrance to the museum is free but donations are always welcome.
The museum isn’t big but it has a lot of exhibits for visitors including a cell from the old Dunmow police station; a crime scene; an noddy bike and the exhibits from a 2021 Epping robbery.
On our visit a birthday party was taking place but it clearly was engaging and interesting to the guests in addition to teaching them about their local police force.
Visitors can typically spend around an hour here but it is well worth the time.
