点评：This is the worst experience I had in marrakech. Everywhere you turn there are dishonest people. First, tried buying this scent blocks, told us a different price then suddenly at the end of it, 2blocks for 100dirhams. Tried to give it back but they won’t so said I’ll just take 1block. 1very small block for 50dirhams. Buying cold water, you ask for a cold one, even in Arabic and they will say yes it’s cold, but gives u a room temperature water. Tried the rooftop restaurant, the cashier were charging us 121dirhams and we paid 200 and she was only giving us a change of 55dirhams. They give u coins for change and they think you wouldn’t count it and they give u the wrong change. This happened as well in the souk. Buying a sign, he wants to sell it to us for 25€. So we bartered and got it for 90dirhams. Paid 100dirhams and gave us coins for change and was trying to just give us 4dirhams. Again, I think he thinks we wouldn’t count the change. The poor monkeys in the market, in that heat and they dress them with clothes that are too warm. I saw this man dragging one monkey, I can’t look, I feel so bad for the monkeys. And then snakes, my partner told me they take off their fangs. I don’t know why these things are still allowed. The whole square feels chaotic. We didn’t try the food but we were worried we’ll get food poisoning as all are just exposed to flies when there is a nearby place where horses wait and they piss there and poops. I thought from what I saw that this place is not to miss but I think I could have not gone there and I will be ok with my visit to Marrakesh. I would recommend, go there, feel the place and ambience but as much as possible, don’t interact with anyone. Maybe there are other honest people there but with our experience, most will try to scam you.
