点评:I was really surprised at our unpleasant experience here after reading reviews and guidebooks detailing how beautiful and nice this island is. I agree that it is quieter since there are no cars here, and the views from the seaside restaurants are lovely - just like on the Aswan side. However, if you are visiting or staying in the main Nubian part of the island (as opposed to the isolated, separate resort of Movenpick) know that it's an island of rubble, dirt, and garbage everywhere you go, full of tiny biting gnats and also flies. In addition, women are segregated from men on the public ferry that takes you there. There's even a sign in the ferry waiting area that men and women should not sit on the same bench. There were no little boys asking me for a dollar on the island, but plenty of men trying to sell us a ride on their boat whenever we left our hotel. We were happy to leave.
