点评：We had an amazing 2.5 days of birding experience with Birdschile. It couldn't have been any better!
I had contacted the company a month or so back and shared my target list for Chile as a whole with them. Raffa, the founder, sent me a proposal for a 2.5 days of birding and annotated that large list with which day we are likely to see the birds. That alone would have required a lot of effort, and that was not lost on me. Really, appreciated that.
Dr. George Swan was assigned as our guide and we couldn't have got a better guide. Excellent academic background along with a passion for birding and guiding showed itself in the form of 26 lifers, which is a huge success rate considering that my wife and I have birder in 7 south american countries and the target list keeps going shorter and shorter.
George, like a good researcher, had studied my list and had a clear game plan (both plan-A and B for each species), which is something that you don't see from most guides. Appreciated the planning a lot! And Marcello, our driver was very efficient in taking us to various spots as well as stopping the vehicle safely when we spotted some targets while driving.
It was also very enjoyable chatting with George and I suspect, we have found a friend in the process.
A shout out to Teresa and Tomas for the smooth logistical work that goes on behind the scene to make this happen so smoothly.
Besides the responsiveness and professionalism, the B Corp certification of this outfit won me over. I have never been failed by a B corp.
I would highly recommend this organization.
