点评：The Grand Palace is without question one of Bangkok’s must-see landmarks. The architecture, the golden temple complexes, and the historical significance are deeply impressive. From a cultural, historical, and societal perspective, it is an important and powerful place to visit.
We arrived at 10:00 AM and it was already extremely hot — and very crowded. Be prepared. Bring plenty of water and even more patience. There are queues, especially if you want to enter the temple housing the Emerald Buddha at Wat Phra Kaew, and you’ll constantly find yourself navigating around Instagram photo sessions happening everywhere.
That said, the craftsmanship and detail of the buildings are extraordinary. It’s visually overwhelming in the best sense of the word.
You absolutely should visit. Just know that the grandeur and royal self-glorification are very present — that has to be your thing, or at least something you can view with historical perspective.
