点评:The temples of Bagan are a must see. On our first full day we hired an ebike and tootled around with no plan in mind at all. The highlight of my day was being surrounded by a group of pre schoolers who wanted to help us look at our map. There were very good at tracing the routes of the roads with their fingures. We learnt from these children the Burmese common sign language for drink & food. One advert on the map drew the attention of the kids and we spent a few minutes telling them the English words for ice cream, coffee, and wine as we each pointed to the pictures. As Western tourists we deffinitely drew attention from the locals and we had our photo taken so many times. On day 2 we visited Mount Popa in the morning and then some temples in the afternoon. Our driver deffinitely knew his stuff and we saw some amazing images and painted walls. At one of the temples we were walked around by an elderly lady holding a huge light so we could see all the paintings. Yes you do get a bit of hassle from the vendors at some of the temples, but most of the time we were left alone.
