点评:This temple complex built inside a series of caves was very interesting to visit. There are a number of colorful temples near the parking lot each dedicated to a specific Hindu god. Between a couple of the temples are a series of cages containing numerous types of birds including white peacocks. The huge golden statue of Lord Murugan was even larger than I had imagined. It has been repainted and scaffolding that covered it a few months ago has all been removed. The 272 steps up to the caves are painted with a multitude of different colors which makes for an eye-catching photo from the base of the steps. The caves at the top are pretty spacious and have several openings to the sky. The caves are damp with dripping water and strong smells of bat guano in places. There are two temples inside the caves that can also be visited, and in the closest one we watched a pilgrim deliver an offering of milk that had been carried up the steps.
