点评:Despite numerous trips to Jaipur this is the first time we explored the Hawa Mahal with guide Piyush Goyal. The fascinating wax statue of the handsome king, the parapet from where the eleven queens showered rose petals after a war victory , the ramps to pull the wooden carts with the bejewelled queens sitting on them, a corner for them to gossip and chat , an area for a jewellery bazaar , a mini jail room for a servant who did not garnish the food properly -so many fascinating tales. The architecture has a Mughal influence , ornate doors painted with vegetable dies, coloured glass made by mixing gemstones and glass and the best part is the natural ventilation to let the hawa in and keep the heat away . The jharokha or 365 windows allowed the queens to enjoy the views of the bazaar and the royal courtyard while remaining hidden from any watching eyes
