A real oasis of nature away from the city
Reserva Ecológica Costanera Sur的点评
点评：We had a lovely couple of visits to the reserve, it really is an oasis from the crushing heat and the hustle and bustle of the city.
We saw around 70 species of birds which was a real joy. We had hoped to reach 100 but sadly the reserve was shut on Christmas Eve (our last day) - we’d missed that during our research but birds are pretty plentiful around the surrounds of the park so we still had an enjoyable day. It’s a bit of a shame it doesn’t open till 8am as the sun is already quite strong and the temps high in summer. But there is plenty of shade to provide relief.
We had been advised to be security conscious with camera equipment etc (it is after all within a large city) but we had no concerns at all. There are regular security patrols and workers driving the trails and other visitors were genuinely there to enjoy recreational time, we didn’t see any individuals that caused us any concern.
We would certainly visit again if we returned to BA.
