点评：I visited Javea GC recently in order to use their excellent practice facilities.
I found the staff and members very welcoming considering I was a visitor, not a member. Unusually, this club is owned by its members via shares in the club.
There are certain practice areas which are prohibited to visitors, and that is understandable given that members should have some exclusivity and privileges due to their financial investment in the club.
There is a general desire on the part of members to learn and improve their game, I noticed. It is not one of those clubs filled with boozy corporate overweight men simply whizzing around in golf carts, hacking at the golf ball and laughing at their own jokes. There is a diverse range of members in respect of gender, age, and nationality.
It feels like a serious yet sociable club. And the setting, with views to the Montgo, is beautiful.
The practise facilities are in wonderful shape, and I imagine the course is well maintained also, though I have yet to play it.
So, well done Javea Golf Club - and thank you for your hospitality. I hope to re-visit and play a round.
