点评：Very cool ship to visit. Pro tip-there’s no parking on site. You have to park a couple blocks away at a parking garage so plan extra time for that as well as extra money. That was definitely a downside. The ship was amazing. You could either walk through it yourself or go on a guided tour. I took the command and control tour, which was very cool and well worth it. It took you to a few places that you would not have seen on a self guided tour such as the captains quarters as well as the command center. I had an excellent tour guide if I’m remembering correctly I’m terrible with names. His name was Greg. He was very informative and you could ask any questions and he knew the answers as he was former Navy. The ship has so many areas to explore even on your own. You can easily spend between 2 to 4 hours on the ship. I would say almost every part of the ship is open for exploration. There are a few areas that are not as with most ships. I really liked how they had some of the areas set up to look like the ship was still in use such as the barbershop and the cafeteria area. I also liked that they had audio sounds in many of these areas to enhance the experience. There is a small museum in the building next to the ship which I didn’t care for at all. It basically just had a few exhibits that kids just went wild on and had no idea what they were doing screaming and then there was a small navy display area, but it was mostly just pictures on the wall. I would say you could just completely skip that area. There was a nice gift shop in that building as well though which I would recommend.
