Good upmarket place to stay in Northumberland
Doxford Hall Hotel Spa的点评
点评：We stayed for 3 days at the start of a holiday in Scotland. The hotel is a Georgian country house that has been extended and completely modernised in recent years. They have stayed with the Georgian style, which is a nice contrast to some hotels that have been beautified and lost some of their character. We had a spacious room with plenty of space for a sofa and a couple of chairs, and a good sixed four poster bed.
The hotel has a nice garden area (and a maze in case you want to get lost), which is good for a short walk about without being extensive.
Service was excellent, with all the staff both very helpful and veery friendly, so a nice up-beat experience. Breakfasts were all cooked freshly and very good, and the food in the evenings was excellent.
Overall, a very good place to stay for a visit to Northumberland - upmarket but worth the price.
