点评:We were initially pondering whether to bother including this in our visit, and we are very glad we did. Despite it being a bit of a hassle to get to and a rather expensive admission fee for tourists, it was overall worth it.
The hike itself is a mix of incline and decline, stone and wooden paths. In the heat it can be challenging at times, but easily doable. While I don’t think there is anything special about Cabo San Juan itself (a small beach with strong waves), I guess it gives a sense of achievement reaching there.
On the journey we saw capuchins, tamarins, toucans, spiders and squirrel monkeys, which is always a bonus.
We stayed near the El Zaino entrance the night before, woke up early and stayed in the park the following day. To be honest, I would recommend on a budget staying in the park one night and leaving, or if you have the time, choosing one of the nicer accommodations within the park and staying 2 nights.
