Interesting but entrance process terrible. Buy your ticket in advance.

点评：Interesting rock formations (but we still like the Death Valley a few minutes drive away much better.). Definitely worth a stop here, especially if you have your own rental car. Several hikes but you may want to start early before the heat.
BUT, buy tickets in advance before you go. We got to the gate, you MUST pay online (no cash) and their internet app was not working nor was local wifi. Took over an hour of repeated attempts (same for several other visitors at the same time with 4 park staff assisting.). I get it, going digital is fantastic but they have no backup. Once inside, park and trails reasonably organized, I could a nice ranger with interesting details when I hiked up to the salt mine.
This is an inexpensive self tour if you have a rental car and buy tickets online before you get there as noted.
