Bugsworth Basin的点评
点评：I regularly walk through Bugsworth Basin and am saddened to see it in significant disrepair, particularly regarding accessibility.

While the scenery remains beautiful, it’s clear that maintenance has declined since the Canal and River Trust (CRT) took over management. The former site warden used to do an excellent job maintaining the trackway, but now this path is nearly impassable after rain. Even on dry days, the deep potholes make it quite risky for anyone in a wheelchair.
I also completely echo the sentiment of a previous reviewer. I observe issues with “problem” overstaying boats, taking up mooring space for genuine holiday boats. Locals mentioned that a particular boat owned by CRT volunteers has been in the basin for over two years. Despite the 48hr mooring rule.
Despite these challenges, I believe Bugsworth Basin has incredible potential if accessibility were prioritised and moorings made available for genuine visiting boats.
I'm hopeful that these accessibility issues are just an oversight in management and that improvements will be made soon.
This beautiful place truly deserves to be enjoyed by everyone, just as it was in years past!
