点评:A wonderful building with magnifent decoration and architecture set right in the middle of town - impossible to miss and easy to get to on Malta's comprehensive bus services.
We recommend the Tuesday guided tours with a Rotunda volunteer. It includes visits to parts of the building not shown to others, followed by an interesting walk though old Mosta to another small church built above a cave then a visit to the last remaining origininal farmhouse (now a museum and on a street with other houses) in the city. A lunch at the Rotunda Cafe was included in which we enjoyed a selection of Maltese food and wine or Kinnie (local soft drink).
We finished with a walk through the wartime air raid shelter beneath the Rotunda.
Rita, our guide, was a very nice lady, very informative and easy to chat with and time seemed to fly by in her company. I understand the groups are usually not more than 15 people (we were only three) and this is far preferable to the crowded tours sometimes found in these sorts of places.
