点评:My favourite of the two casemates we visited during our stay. It was really hard to get tickets at the time and that was because it was a guided tour only, thus limited spaces and we only squeezed in on our last day. I think we were one if the last guided tours given and it now has a general admission, which is a great shame as our guide Alex gave us much more information and insights than a normal walkaround would.
We had information about the history of the casemates, there's interesting wildlife that lives in the caves, bats and the cannibal spiders which have been studied in the very caves.
My favourite part is a little weird, every so often you have lights showing your path ahead and despite the conditions each of these lights has its own little ecosystem of plants fungus etc, fascinating, probably just to me.
Worth visiting even without the guided tour, do you need to do both casemates if time restricted, probably not.
